Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Peters Lee, 82, of Monroe, LA will held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 19, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Colin Wimberly officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens, West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Lee died on February 15, 2007 in Ruston, LA. She was a member of the Swartz First Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee was also past president of the Women's Missionary Union in Hammond, LA. Mrs. Lee grew up in the Sterlington area. She is preceded in death by her parents, Issac Newton (Newt) and Eva Dean Peters; husband, Malven F. Lee Sr.; sons, Charles David Lee and Malven F. Lee Jr.; grandson, Andrew Lee; brothers and sisters, Dr. W.W. Peters, Alice Lucille Peters Simpson, and M.L. Peters.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Margurite Peters Richardson, Eva Lois Boone, Stuart Peters, and James C. Peters; two sons, Jim Lee and Steven Lee; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or to the charity of your choice.
