SOUTHGATE, Calif. -- Mrs. Mary Ella Hill Johns, 48, died Wednesday at her home. Services are 2 p.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lorena Cemetery in Smith County.

She was a former resident of Forest.

She is survived by her husband, Freddy Johns Sr. of Southgate, Calif.; sons, Freddy Johns Jr. of Forest and Johnny Hills of Morton; daughter, Mrs. Shelby Stevens of Hattiesburg; brothers, Ed Hills of Lake, and Merle Hill, Howard Hill and Ray Hill, all of Pelahatchie; and five grandchildren.
