Mary E. Baker went to be with her Lord and Savior, March 24, 2007 at Mary Frances Hospital in Jacksonville, Texas.
She was a former resident of Pasadena and had moved to Huffman before retiring to the Livingston area. She moved to Rusk to be with her daughter, Patricia once her health began to deteriorate.
Mary was preceded in death by parents; John and Mary Smith, husband of 47 years, Tommie Lee Baker, brother; James Smith, two sisters; Lois John and Juanita Gilbert.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; James Dampier of Huffman, Texas and Cecil and Pam Dampier of Seabrook, Texas, one daughter and one son-in-law: Patricia and J. W. Sharp. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother-in-law; Katherine Meredith and Evelyn Ferrington of Monroe, Louisiana, Mildred Spier of Point Blank, Texas, and Freddie and Charles Andrews of Cotton Valley, Louisiana. Also surviving is brother: Herman and sister-in-law Ruth Smith of Ferriday, Louisiana, twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, with William Snidow officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Tommie Lee Brooks, Clinton Cobb, Boudreaux Dampier, Derrick Dampier, Eddie Dampier, Tracy Dampier, Troy Lee Pruitt and Jeff Sharp.
