Mary Helen Arender

POLKVILLE -- Mary Helen Arender, 67, a resident of Polkville, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Visitation was held 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday noon until 2 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the funeral home with burial in Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mary was a native and life long resident of Polkville. She was a member of Polkville First Baptist Church. Mary loved God, her family and was a friend to all who knew her.

Survivors are her brother Gene Arender and his wife Cissy of Pelahatchie; her nephew Allen Arender, his wife Laura Curto Arender, and their three children Sam, Thomas, and Nora Bess who all live in Nashville, Tenn.

Pallbearers were Phil Cote, Andy Cote, Henry Cote, Lander Cote, Bobby Allen and John Hamilton.

The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at the University of Mississippi Medical Center who took care of Mary, especially Dr. Jessica Safley. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Thank you Brother Aaron Safley for your prayers and support during this very difficult time.
