Mrs. Wilderman Expires In City

INFIRMITIES, SHOCK FROM FALL PROVE FATAL -- RITES SATURDAY

Mrs. Mary Jane Wilderman, 87, expired at her home, 315 east College street, at 7:10 o'clock Wednesday night. She had been ill the past six weeks. Infirmities of old age and shock from a recent fall were blamed for her death.

Born in Sulphur Springs, Mo., March 1, 1852, Mrs. Wilderman was the daughter of John and Cornelia Watson. She was married to Levi W. Wilderman in 1870 in St. Clair county, Illinois.

She was a member of the First Baptist church, where her son-in-law, Rev. B. E. Antrobus, is pastor.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. B. E. Antrobus; three granddaughters, Mrs. Frances Nelson and Miss Esther Thacker, both of Lindsburg, Kan., and Mrs. Allison Yeager, Crawfordsville; and two great-grandchildren, Donald and Lorrain Nelson.

HOLD RITES FOR LOCAL RESIDENT

MARY WILDERMAN SERVICES CONDUCTED AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Wilderman were held at the First Baptist church at nine o'clock Saturday morning with the Rev. B. E. Antrobus officiating and the Rev. H. H. Elmore assisting.

Those who served as pallbearers were: E. L. Wray, Everett Sowers, Clifford Weliver, Walter Sidener, Raymond Chesterson and Austin Elmore.

The flower bearers were: Mrs. E. L. Wray, Mrs. Snow Perkins, Mrs. Emma Badgley, Mrs. J. I. Slater and Mrs. V. Shields.

A trumpet solo, ``The Holy City,'' was played by Harley Cunningham with Mrs. Austin Elmore, accompanying on the organ.

Following the service, the funeral party left for Girard, Ill., where burial will be made.

Mrs. Wilderman, a resident of Crawfordsville for many years, died at her home on east College street Wednesday night. She had been seriously ill six weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at the First Baptist church with Rev. B. E. Antrobus and Dr. H. H. Elmore in charge. Burial will be made in the family lot at Girard, Ill.
