Mary K. Cook, 69, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her home.
She was born Dec. 2, 1940, in Keyser, W.Va., to the late McKinley Roosevelt and Carrie Frances Miller Lewis.
She was a member of Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church and loved spending quality time with her granddaughters and great-grandson, Josh, and frequented her two hot spots, The Carlisle Coffee Co. and Caf? Alfredo.
She was the widow of Clyde A. Cook, who died Aug. 28, 2002.
She is survived by her son, James D. Cook and companion Kim Eiffes of Orlando, Fla.; daughter Mary M. Cook and companion Jason Russell of Mt. Holly Springs; two granddaughters, Amanda K. Kendall and Megan T. Kendall; great-grandson Joshua Kendall; two brothers, Robert A. Lewis of Sneads Ferry, N.C., and Raymond Lewis of Inwood, W.Va.; six sisters, Pauline Flynn of Piedmont, W.Va., Nellie McCloud and Helen Mae Stump of Keyser W.Va., Shirley and Jean Lewis of Inwood, W.Va., and Marge Marsh of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Lewis.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the pavilion at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with the Rev. Daniel L. Dennis officiating. Family and friends will be meeting on Monday at 9.45 a.m. in the parking lot of Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, 149 W. Penn St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
