Mary L. Parker
Mary L. Parker, 93, of Laurel died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 2 at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Jimmy Holder will officiate.
Mrs. Parker was the manager of the Northeast Jones Cafeteria for 21 years and was a member of Antioch Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oree Parker, Sr.; son, Larry A. Parker; five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Oree Parker, Jr. and wife Elise of Laurel; two daughters, Frances Nix of Ellisville and Donna Vreeland and husband James of Sandersville; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are David Livingston, Darryl Cooley, Danny Madison, Danny Lewis, Brandon Hall and Jimmy Vreeland.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday, February 1 at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
