Mary L. Stanley
Mrs. Mary L. Stanley, age 88, of Florence, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Glenwood Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center after an extended illness.
She was a native of Lauderdale County, graduate of Central High School and graduate of Larimore Business College.
She was a secretary and bookkeeper at Southern Sash of Sheffield for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, of Florence, and American Business Women's Association.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. from Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Gary Formby.
Mrs. Stanley is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Stanley, son, Harold Douglas Cooper, parents, James E. and Dora Koonce Lovelace, three brothers, Elvin K., Homer and James F. Lovelace, two sisters, Tera L. Montgomery and Ruth May.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Martha Robbin Cooper, of Winter Garden, Fla.; and two sisters, Louise L. Pitts and Christine Lovelace Gentry, both of Florence; two grandchildren, Joseph Harold Cooper and wife, Stephanie, of Winter Garden, Fla., and Christopher Douglas Cooper and wife, Karen, of Helena, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Molly Kathryn and Mason Douglas Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.
