Mrs. Mary E. Wardlaw

PLAINVIEW -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth [sic Lillis] Wardlaw, 92, were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Lemons Memorial Chapel.

The Rev. T. J. Ozbun, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Hale Center, was to officiate, with burial in Hale Center Cemetery.

Mrs. Wardlaw, a resident of Hale Center since 1909, died Saturday night in a Plainview nursing home.

Born Mary Elizabeth [sic Lillis] Lee in Arkansas, she married John Wardlaw in Ellis County on Nov. 27, 1895. Mr. Wardlaw died in 1951.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Osa Mae Wardlaw of Abilene; three sons, John A. of Plainview, and Glenn E. and Ralph D. of Hale Center; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
