Mary Lou Davis

Services for Mary Lou Davis, 37, of Carrollton, who died of cancer Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994, at her home, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mrs. Davis, a Greenwood native and Pillow Academy graduate, was a registered nurse. She attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center of Jackson and graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College with a degree in nursing.

She was a state officer of the Baptist Nursing Fellowship and a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church, where she served as a Girls in Action leader.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Goodnight, and her mother, Lora Smith Rayman.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Davis Jr. of Carrollton; two sons, Paul G. "Tripp" Davis III and Joshua “Josh” Davis, both of Carrollton; her father, Luther Rayman of Carrollton; and a brother, George D. Goodnight of Clarksdale.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wilton Neal, Bill Brunson, Doc Little, Henry "Buddy" Blount, James Wright and Donnie Daves. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Stokes, G.L. Denley and the deacons of North Carrollton Baptist Church.

The Rev. Kevin Smith will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.
