Died 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 1987, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 65, a native of Oak Grove and resident of Baton Rouge. Religious services at Kidder-Cox Funeral Home, Oak Grove, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survived by husband, Frank W. Smith; a daughter, Edith S. Blair, Walker; a grandchild, Michael W. Smith, Baton Rouge; a brother, John R. Fowler, Baton Rouge; and a sister, Lelia Heindel, Baton Rouge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Association.
