Mrs. Murrell, 70

Mrs. Mary Murrell, 70, of Dry Prong, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday in an Alexandria hospital.

Survivors include five sons, H. A. Murrell of Pollock, V. W. Murrell of Houston, Loyd Murrell of Dry Prong, John Murrell of New Iberia and Jimmy Ray Murrell of Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Floyes of Dry Prong, Mrs. Murlean Fox and Mrs. Lee Diehl both of Houston; four brothers, Lonnie Maddox of Pollock, Sollie Maddox of Jena, Lunnie Maddox of Dry Prong and Johnny Maddox of Poland; four sisters, Mrs. Mandy Smith of Grayson, Mrs. Badie Garrett [sic Vada Jarred] of Alexandria, Mrs. Alma Murrell of Dry Prong and Mrs. Bulah Burk of Colfax, 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today from Pollock Pentecostal church with interment in Big Creek cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home.
