Mary N. Craft
Mary Nettles Craft, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2010, at Ridgeland Pointe Assisted Living. She was born in Shubuta, Mississippi and was married for over 40 years to Maynard McLean Craft, who passed away in January of 1986.
Mrs. Craft touched the lives of many people with her smile and loving heart. She was a very active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She hosted Bible studies in her home for years and was very involved in the Christian Women's Club.
Mrs. Craft enjoyed traveling to golf tournaments around the state with her husband, Maynard, who was a state golf champion. She was associated with South Central Bell for several years. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and loving wife. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity and devotion to family.
Mrs. Craft is survived by her daughter, Connie Craft Croswell (Bob); her grandchildren, Candace Croswell Frost (Cable) and Bobby Croswell (Jennifer); her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Kate Frost; her sisters, Ruth Allen and Sarah Jordan and many nieces, nephews, friends and family that were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 16th at 1:00 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Craft will be buried at Lakewood Memorial Park following the services.
