Propst Fund Ends With Over $3,058

The Propst Fund was closed out Saturday with total contributions of $3,058.82, chairman Lewis T. Winters announced.

The fund was started several weeks ago to aid Tuscaloosa City Police Office K. B. Propst and his family who were injured when a boat on which they were riding exploded and burned at Gulf Shores in May.

Killed in the explosion was Propst's 18-year-old daughter Donna. His wife, Mrs. Mary Propst died several days later in a Mobile hospital.

Propst and his 13-year-old daughter, Debbie were to be released from the Mobile Infirmary Saturday and are expected to return home the first part of the week, Winters said.
