Molly Desmond

WEST BLOCTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary (Molly) Desmond, 95, of Route 1, West Blocton, who died Saturday at the Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Shultz [sic Schultz] Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. J.C. Hayes and the Rev. Hubert Williams will officiate with burial in the church cemetery and Rockco Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by three sons, George O. Desmond, West Blocton, B. B. Desmond, Seabrook, Md., and John H. Desmond, Tuscaloosa; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline McCulley, Sylacauga, Mrs. Josephine Webb, Centreville, Mrs. Joellen Martin, Jamesville, N.C., Mrs. Bettye Smith, Guntersville, and Mrs. Jane Dukes, Tuscaloosa; a sister, Mrs. Sally Duncan, Franklinton, La.; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 tonight at the funeral home.
