Mrs. Mary Ruth Walker Jordan

OIL CITY, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ruth Walker Jordan, 65, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Ferry Lake Baptist Church, 10179 Ferry Lake Road in Oil City, where she was an active member. Officiating will be Brother Bill Treadway, assisted by Brother Jason McNutt and Brother Mark Crook. Interment will follow in Mooringsport Cemetery, Mooringsport, LA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2006 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the church.

Mrs. Jordan was born June 26, 1940 in Winnfield, LA to the late George Edward and Hazel Mae (Gregory) Walker. She passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Shreveport, LA.

Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward and Hazel Mae (Gregory) Walker and her brother, Carl Walker.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Charles Jordan; her daughters, Mary Ann Medlin and husband, Don, and Susan Wright and husband, Larry; her grandchildren, who were so dear to her, Charles and Heather-Lynn Medlin, Kevin Medlin, Toby Jones, Skyi Jones, and Lazarus Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be the Louisiana Masonic Masons who loved her dearly.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the family, friends, and to Dr. Richard Barnett, all who surrounded Mary during the time of her passing.
