Mary R. Jones, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013, in Fort Worth.
Service: 7 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time.
Committal: 2 p.m. Friday in Blanco Cemetery in Blanco.
Mary was an expert quilter. She made many quilts of various designs and won a ribbon at the Texas State Fair. She also loved birds and flowers. She was a devout Southern Baptist who taught Sunday school for many years and was generous and kind to people in all walks of life. She was a lady who was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marsial Jones; her parents, Eula and W.C. Stewart; sisters, Lois Thornblom, Hazel Krueger and Patricia Reese; and a brother, Glenn Stewart.
Survivors: Her daughters, Kay Vickers and husband, Michael, of Keller, Melodie Lambeth and husband, Willis, of Saginaw; son, Michael Jones of West Hollywood, Calif.; sisters, Amy Barfell and husband, Lloyd, of San Antonio and Clarice Whitton of Schertz; brother, Jack Stewart and wife, Donna, of Georgetown; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
