Mary C. (Totino) Krohn
KROHN - Mary C. (nee Totino), on December 17, 2008 of Williston Park NY. Beloved wife of Bill G. Krohn. Dear daughter of the late Clara Colucci Totino and Frank Totino. Loving mother of Michael, Robert (Kathy) and Thomas (Patricia). Cherished grandmother of Celia, Daniel and Ryan.
Mary graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn in 1949, graduated Brooklyn College in 1954 where she studied Chemistry, and went on to work for Union Carbide as one of the first women in the chemical industry.
Bill and Mary were married in 1954 moving around the country due to Bill's military service. They returned to Brooklyn in 1957 and in 1978 Mary obtained a Master's Degree in Education from C.W. Post . She went on to teach at St. Aidan's School from 1977-1996 after which she oversaw the Education Advocacy program for adults and children for New Ground, a charitable long term housing program, from 1997-2003.
Visitation at the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at St Aidan's Church Mon 10am. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
