Mattie Bea Seely, 94, formerly of Fort Worth, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Mattie was born June 6, 1919, in Hooks to Abe and Eleanor Reed. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from North Texas State University. She taught school in North Carolina and Texas. Mattie was a member and Sunday school teacher at Riverside Christian Church in Fort Worth and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mattie married Robert Randall Seely Sr. on May 15, 1944, and they were married for over 50 years. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, James Reed and Lowery Reed.

Survivors: Son, Robert Randall Seely Jr. and wife, Roojee; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
