Rites Tuesday For Mrs. H. P. Hyde, 81
Funeral services for Mrs. H. P. Hyde, 81, beloved resident of the Mountain Home area, were held Tuesday morning from the Plummer-Smith chapel with Rev. Jack Franklin, pastor of the Mountain Home Methodist Church, officiating, and interment was in the Sunset Cemetery.
She was a native of Brown County, but had lived in Kerr County for many years. She and her late husband had always been identified with the substantial ranch people of their community. She was a member of the Methodist Church and reared a large family of children in that belief. She had suffered a heart ailment about a year ago, and had been critically ill at the Peterson Hospital about two weeks when her death occurred Sunday.
Survivors include ten children. Earl Hyde, Mrs. Millie Cobb and Mrs. Eloise Ahrens, Mountain Home; Mrs. Lucille Wachter, Kerrville; Mrs. Irene Micars, Sonora; Mrs. Margaret White and Lloyd Hyde and Mrs. Ellie Crenshaw, San Antonio, and Leonard Hyde of Bandera. A sister, Mrs. Zora Nelson of Beeville, three brothers, Ben Johnson of Medina, Frank Johnson of Lake Victor and Clint Johnson of Santa Rita, New Mexico. 25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren also survive.
