Mattie May Chandler

Mattie May Chandler, 69, of Bethany died Thursday at Panola (Texas) General Hospital after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Panola County, with the Rev. Everett R. Miller and the Rev. Robert Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Johnnie Dear of Elysian Fields, Texas, Grady Stewart of Winnsboro and Charles Stewart of Monroe; two daughters, Mary Ann Cannon of Winnsboro and Christine Shaw of Panola, Texas; two sisters, Audrey Woods of Baskins and Nettie Rhodes of Shreveport; three brothers, Leroy Myres and Wilson Myres, both of Etts, and Jimmy D. Myres of Waskom, Texas; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
