Mrs. May Peters Hearn
SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Mrs. May Peters Hearn, 90, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 1990 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Benny Bond, Pastor of Willow Point Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Fisk Ray, Minister to Senior Adults, Willow Point Baptist Church and Dr. George Hearn. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until service time.
Mrs. Hearn died Tuesday, March 13, 1990 at The Guest House. She was born in Dodson, La. and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 60 years. Mrs. Hearn was a homemaker and a longtime member of Willow Point Baptist Church where she taught Adult Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Hearn, Sr.; two sons, Charles A. Hearn and Thomas W. Hearn, Jr.; one grandson, George Eugene “Gene” Hearn.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. George E. Hearn and wife, Gloria of Pineville, La. and Dr. Robert E. Hearn and wife, Margie of Ruston, La.; one daughter-in-law, Mildred Hearn of Shreveport; one sister, Gladys P. Boyett of Shreveport; six grandchildren, Jeanne Goodrich, Tommie Snyder, Paula Jenkins, Gail Smith, Sharon Siebenlist and Robert E. Hearn, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Goodrich, Kenneth “Buzz” Snyder, Buddy Siebenlist, Robert E. Hearn, Jr., Jeffery Goodrich and Corey Goodrich.
Memorials may be made to the Willow Point Baptist Church.
