Mrs. Dauphin

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rose- Neath Funeral Chapel in Logansport, La., for Mrs. Mattie Dauphin, 70, who died Thursday in a Houston hospital after a brief illness. She was the mother of Mrs. Gladys Cartwright, administrator of Evergreen Nursing Home here. The Rev. W. E. Spencer officiated. Burial followed in the Brooklyn Cemetery in Haslam, Texas. She was a native of Franklin Parrish, La.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cartwright of Corsicana and Mrs. Eton Forman of Logansport; two sons, Loyce S. McCarta and James Netherland, both of Winnsboro, La.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Couples of Minden, La.; Mrs. Moody Netherland of Winnsboro, 1,3., and Mrs. Myrtle Brown of Center, Texas.
