GANADO -- Mrs. Mattie Pearl Hurt, 83, of Ganado, died Monday in a Ganado hospital.

She was born Dec. 21, 1885 in Seagoville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Ganado, with the Rev. B. J. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Ganado City Cemetery.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Alice Chapman of Dallas; Mrs. Florence Ausenbaugh of Houston, Mrs. Mozelle Novosad of Ganado, Mrs. Cozette Legen [sic Legan] of Victoria and Mrs. Dorothy Sopko of Port Lavaca; four sons, Kenneth of Ganado, Clint of Houston, Thomas of Silver City, N. M. and James of Ganado; three sisters, Mrs. Nola Carter of Sweetwater, Mrs. Valte Martin of Roscoe, and Mrs. Birdie Greenwalt [sic Greenawalt] of Seagoville; three brothers, Elmon Hanes, of Dallas, and Groves [sic Grover] and Bill Hanes, both of Roscoe, Texas; 38 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
