MRS. MAUDE D. WHITEHEAD
Mrs. Maude D. Whitehead, long time resident of West Monroe, died at her residence, 211 Browning street, early Monday after a long illness. She was 72.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Peters Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Hunt, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, will be in Memorial Park.
Mrs. Whitehead was born in Lasalle parish but had lived in West Monroe for the past 29 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don Fuller of Sherman, Texas, and Mrs. Frances Shaw, Cooperstown, N.Y.; two sons, Sherman Whitehead, West Monroe; Harvard Whitehead, Sunnyvale, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Buelah [sic Beulah] Claunch, Port Arthur, Tex., Mrs. Ethel Kervin, Collins, Miss.; two brothers, Thurston Dunn, Olla, and Ivy Dunn, Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Austin Wilson, Jimmy Whitehead, Robert Lemoine, Ellis Ross, J. W. Irby and James Bass.
