MRS. I. C. DELONEY

The death of Mrs. I. C. DeLoney, which occurred at the South Highland Infirmary in Birmingham Tuesday morning, about 2 o'clock, was a shock to her family and friends both here and at her late home in Coal Valley. She had been ill only a few days, when it was found imperative that she be carried to Birmingham for an operation, which she did not survive.

Before marriage she was Miss Maude Riley, daughter of Mrs. Martin Riley of this place. She was of a sunny disposition and made many friends where'er she went.

The remains were brought here to the home of her mother Tuesday afternoon, and carried to the First Baptist Church, of which she was a member and where she attended services when a girl, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. White, pastor of that church. Music was furnished by a special choir, and many beautiful floral tributes sent by friends from Birmingham, Coal Valley and other places, were mute attestants of the high esteem in which she was held.

She is survived by her husband and three little boys, her mother, four sisters and two brothers, all of whom are bowed down in sorrow at their great bereavement.

Interment was made at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
