Pvt. Max Shirey of Paratroopers Killed in Belgium

Private Max H. Shirey, 23, son of Mrs. L. P. Shirey, 213 North Broadway, was killed in action in Belgium on December 23. Private Shirey was a member of a Paratroop Division which had been overseas for 20 months.

He entered the armed forces some 7 months prior to his overseas service. He was employed by the United States Gypsum company as a machine operator before he joined the Army.
