Mosley, Maxine Bankston

Services for Maxine Bankston Mosley were held Thursday, April 27 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Williana with Reverend Richard DeBusk and Brother Chuck Evans officiating. Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Maxine Bankston Mosley, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Rapides Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was the oldest member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was the Registrar of Voters of Grant Parish for 30 years, retiring on January 1, 1979. She was an inspiration to many people, and she will be missed very much.

Her husband, Horace E. Mosley, Sr.; a son, Horace E. Mosley, Jr.; her parents, Louis and Lillie Bankston; a sister, Gertrude Ratcliff and a brother, Donald C. Bankston, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Preston H. Mosley, and wife Patricia of Dry Prong (Williana Community), seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Donald C. Bankston, III, Edward Shirley, Buddy Wilson, Gene Loe, Kenneth Maddry and Quincy Carter.

Honorary pallbearers were all the ladies that were her dear friends and companions during her time of illness.
