SMITH, AVIS MAPLES "MAXINE"
Retired from Steve's Optical and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 75.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Hand. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Survived by her stepfather, Jim Kemph; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Dale Leland; a niece, Michelle Roy and husband Richard; a nephew, Joe Leland and wife Kelly; two great-nieces, Madison Roy and Samantha Leland; and a great-nephew, Kyle Leland.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Edwin Smith; mother, June Kemph; grandmother, Magie Tullos; a sister-in-law, Juanita Gatzman; an uncle, Curtis Foreman; and two nephews, Ray Foreman and Troy Bell.
