DEATH OF ERNEST LOWREY

On last Friday night about 11 o'clock Mr. Ernest Lowrey passed away after a lingering illness during which he was a great sufferer.

Ernest had been in declining health for several years and made a brave fight for his life to the last. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and in the absence of a pastor Rev. H. F. Crim, who had been with him a great deal during his illness, assisted by Rev. J. B. Stovall, conducted the services at the home at 10 o'clock Sunday morning, concluding at the cemetery, the remains being interred at Mt. Carmel.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. J. B. Lowrey, three brothers, Messrs. Earl, Clyde and Sidney, and two sisters, Miss Delia Lowrey of this place and Mrs. Guy Ligon of Arizona.
