Mellie Lurline Hill

Funeral services for Mellie Lurline Hill, 81, of Wisner, were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 14, in the South Central Baptist Church near Wisner, with the Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating.

Interment was in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

She was a retired housewife and a member of South Central Baptist Church since 1927. She died on Dec. 12, 1987, following a brief illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Claudine Campbell, Wisner, Irma Fitzgerald, North Little Rock, Ark., Willie Mae Wells, St. Francisville; one son, Thomas Earl Hill, Jackson; two brothers, Robert Samuel Laningham, Dog Patch, Ark., and Newman Riley Laningham of Fairbanks; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
