Merle B. Emmons

WINNFIELD -- Services for Merle B. Emmons will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Edmonds with the Revs. Elias Baldwin and Curtis Dickens officiating. Burial will be in Sikes Cemetery.

Mrs. Emmons, 77, of Winnfield died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital, Monroe.

Survivors include one son, James David Emmons of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Nell Jackson of Baton Rouge, Joy Johnston of Monroe and Beth Smith of Winnfield; one brother, Johnnie Beavers of Sikes; two sisters, Lula Dunn and Thelma Hatten, both of Sikes; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call until time of services today in the funeral home.
