MERLE KELLER McDANIEL
Merle Keller McDaniel, 82, of Lucedale, formerly of Laurel, died Sunday at George County Hospital in Lucedale after a brief illness.
The funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Erata Cemetery. The Rev. David Thompson and John McGee will officiate.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse, and was a fire tower employee for the state Forestry Commission. She was a Pen[t]ecostal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oce McDaniel in April 1984.
She is survived by sons, Fred Jordan of Magnolia, Ark., Charles Jordan and Jack Jordan, both of Jackson; a daughter, Doris McDonald of Lucedale; sisters, Kate Bush of Laurel, Helen Jordan of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Jordan, Patrick Jordan, Jimmy Jordan, Jacky Jordan, Marvin McDonald and Tim McDonald.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
