Mervin A. Jordan

Mr. Mervin A. Jordan, Jr., age 86, of Alexandria, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Alexandria. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan served in the Army during World War II.

He was the son of the late Mervin Jordan, Sr. and the late Edna Banister Jordan.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Jordan Graff of Mesa, Ariz.; and niece, Mrs. Merline Johnson of Gonzales, Texas.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. Friends may also visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 at Welcome Home Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at the Welcome Home Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 with the Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery in Dodson.
