Services for Michael Ardis Emmons, 24, of 3230 Lancaster will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel with the Rev. Bill Stowell, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Pleasant Hill.
Mr. Emmons died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in Schumpert Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of Shreveport, he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Emmons of Shreveport; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Gregory Sr. of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Martha Peters and Mary Beth Lawrason, both of Shreveport; and a brother, John T. Emmons of Shreveport.
Pallbearers are J.D. Gregory Jr., Jere Gregory, Dr. John Gregory, Ralph Moffett, Worley Bridges and L.W. Sibley.
