Funeral services for Michael ``Mike'' G. Goolsby, 56, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Ronald Vickers officiating. Interment will follow in Security Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Goolsby was born June 30, 1951 in Big Spring, Texas and passed away on August 27, 2007 in Conroe, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Groceville. Mike's father, Romie Goolsby, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Goolsby of Conroe; daughter, Shannan Simonelli and husband Rodney of Willis; son, Michael G. Goolsby, Jr. and wife Melissa of Conroe; mother, Sybol Tabor of Conroe; sisters, Mary Stephens and husband Jon of Conroe and Linda Tabor and husband Allen of Houston; brother, Gregory Goolsby and wife Carolyn of Spring; half sister, Charlotte Hoffman and husband Vance of California; grandchildren, Jessica Goolsby, Kyle Goolsby, Emma Simonelli, Ethan Simonelli, Amanda Hillman and Felicia Hillman; mother-in-law, Ruth Gammill; best friends, Jimmy Ott and wife Linda and Bill Green and wife Alma. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
Pallbearers will be Pete Mares, Jimbo Ott, Russell Tabor, Craig Stephens, Marcus Grier and Ray Goolsby.
