KRUSE

After a courageous battle with cancer, Michael Lynn Kruse, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2011, surrounded by family and friends.

Mike was born February 11, 1949 to the late Martin Kruse and Gertrude Burnum in Fort Worth, and raised in Arlington and Mesquite.

He was the beloved husband of Karin Majik for 38 years.

Mike will always be remembered by his devoted sons Michael (Patti) and Martin; and his grandson Michael III. Mike was dearly loved by his brothers John Neyland (Cindy) and Ervin Kruse (Judy); and by his sisters Laura Ann Kruse and Connie Wilson (Dennis).

Mike made a career in the Army and retired in June, 1987, after serving his country for over 21 years.

After the service, he relocated his family back home in Texas and settle in McKinney. He worked in Plano for EDS and most recently for The Medical Center of Plano.

He loved the outdoors and rarely turned down a chance to go to the lake, fish and hunt or start up the grill with the family and friends. Mike was admired and respected by everyone he was around. He touched the lives of many people with his smile, laugh, generosity, and unforgettable sense of humor. He had the kindest and most gentle spirit and people were blessed to know him.

Services will be held October 17th at the DFW National Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. in the Pavilion Chapel. The family and friends will gather for a “Celebration of Life” afterward.
