Funeral services for Michael Ray Bruce will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the G. A. Mangun Center with Reverends Anthony Mangun and Dennis Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the G. A. Mangun Center, Alexandria from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Bruce, 67, of Tioga, passed from this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence.
Michael was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He was a retired United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He retired after 21 years with the United States Postal Service. Michael was a kind, generous man, a man of who he was and loved God family and friends. He loved to fish, collect coins and ride to see new places.
His mother, Jewel Woodruff Conn and sister-in-law, Susie Conn, preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Darlene Paul Bruce; son, Michael Bruce, Jr.; father, George W. Conn; brother, Larry Conn; brother-in-law, Richard Paul; sister-in-law, Rita Paul and beloved family member, Shad Bruce and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Shannon Conn, Travis Paul, Jeremy Paul, Evan Paul, Eric Martin and Alan Randall.
