Mildred McCarty

Funeral services for Mildred McCarty, 72, of Shreveport, formerly of Newellton, will be today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Riser First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Bearden officiating.

Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. McCarty died Sunday, Jan. 7, 1996 at Willis Knighten Hospital in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas P. McCarty.

Survivors include four daughters, Blondell Wulf, Bossier City; Martha Rosevalley, Bush, La; Carrie Davidson, Doyline; Gloria LeMoine, Baton Rouge; three sons, C. B. ``Mac'' McCarty, Monroe; James Maples, Shreveport; Joe Maples, St. Joseph; two sisters, Eva Martinez, Port Arthur, Texas; Verdie Lopez, Pompano Beach, Fla; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
