MILDRED J. TANNER
Mildred J. Tanner, 84, of Laurel, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Harrisville Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson County. Dr. Wade Rogers will officiate.
A homemaker, she was a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Tanner, Sr., and one son, Ivan Tanner Jr.
She is survived by one son, Howard Carl Tanner of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Jewel Scott of Beaumont, Texas, and Carolyn Jennings of Harrisville; one brother, Robert E. Jackson of Gautier; two sisters, Ester Byrd of Laurel and Juanita Buckley of Gulfport; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grand-children.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
