Mildred Lucinda Freeman Carlock
NATCHEZ -- Mildred Lucinda Freeman Carlock, 87, of Vidalia, La., died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street chapel with Eugene Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home. Visitation will be held from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carlock was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Franklin County, the daughter of Tyson Freeman and Dora Smith Freeman. Mrs. Carlock was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 37 in Vidalia, where she served as Past Grand Matron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton C. Carlock; six brothers; four sisters; and one son, Bobby Carlock.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Ronald Carlock and his wife, Sandy, both of Baton Rouge, and Kevin Carlock of Vidalia; two great-grandchildren, Casey Carlock and Christine Carlock, both of Baton Rouge; and three great-grandchildren, Lexleigh Carlock, Ashlyn Guidroz and Amilee Carter, all of Baton Rouge.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stegall, Sonny Powell, Dwayne Richardson, Roddy Powell, Jewel Freeman, Mathew Mannino and David Martin.
