CLAUSSE, M'liss V.

Born on June 19, 1920 in Moorhead, Minnesota, she passed away peacefully on December 1, 2010 at age 90. M'liss and her husband, Harold, resided in Citrus Heights for 45 years. M'liss had a passion for ballroom dancing and began her career as a dance instructor in 1955. She taught at Arthur Murray's for 9 years before she became self employed. She also taught dancing at Aerojet, YMCA, Fulton-El Camino Park District and sponsored monthly Saturday night dances until her retirement in 2000, at age 80.

M'liss is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Harold, who also taught by her side since meeting in 1957. M'liss is also survived by her son, Roger Boyette; daughter, Linda Adrian (Jim); grandsons, Todd Henry (Lindsay), a Sacramento County Sheriff Deputy, Brett Henry, a Black Hawk helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army (stationed in Germany after 3 tours in Afghanistan and Iraq); and great-granddaugther, Payton Henry.

During a private service, she was laid to rest at Sacramento Valley Regional Veterans Cemetery on December 7. We will always keep her in our hearts. Memorials may be made to the SPCA.
