Mildred M. Roberts
Mrs. Mildred M. (White) Roberts, age 81, of the Hudson Community in Winn Parish., passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. She was a member of the Welcome Home Baptist Church. .
She was the daughter of the late Roy White and the late Mattie (Couch) White. Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by her sister, Lela Mae Hall.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, T. J. Roberts of the Hudson Community;
two step-daughters, Barbara Fossman of Shreveport, La., Linda ``Suby'' Richardson and husband Thomas of Shreveport, La.;
one sister, Elaine Strozier of Covington, La.;
two brothers, Riley White and wife Bernice of Winnfield, La., John White and wife Mary Lou of Albuquerque, NM;
four grandchildren,
ten great-grandchildren, [and]
a host of nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2007. Friends may also visit with the family at the Welcome Home Baptist Church in the Hudson Community from 12:30 PM to service time Sunday, March 4, 2007. Funeral services will be held at the Welcome Home Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, with Rev. Bill Moore and Rev. Buddy Ferrand officiating. Interment will be at Roberts Cemetery in Tullos, La.
Buddy Ferrand, Billy Buchan, Daniel Buchan, Bobby Strozier, Allen Richardson, and Don McGrew will serve as pallbearers.
