Milford Dees

Milford Pierce Dees, age 78, of Hermitage, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital.

He was born April 27, 1923, in Bradley County, a son of the late Terrell Zack Dees and Esther Pierce Dees.

He was a timberman and a farmer, a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church, and a U. S. Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.

Surviving is his wife, Jimmie Johnson Dees, whom he married February 5, 1949 at Brinkley, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Chris Dees and Margaret Rainey, both of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Dees Colvin.

Funeral services were Friday, February 15, 2002, at Frazer's Chapel. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.

Active pallbearers were Brad Johnson, Sherry Colvin, Terrell Colvin, Mike Dixon, Sonny Rainey and Danny Rainey.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, Bailey Mack Hargis, Charlie Morgan, Ronald Clanton, Guy Leslie, Jr., Jr. Pirtle, Jimmy Camp, Harold Newby, Bill Wisener, James E. Smith, and members of First United Methodist Church of Hermitage.

Memorials preferred to Hermitage United Methodist Church or Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls.
