Millard C. Richey died, funeral held

Services for Millard C. Richey of Paradise were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, in the chapel of the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria.

The Reverends Frank Bass and Jerry Means officiated.

Burial followed in the Pine Grove cemetery of Whitehall.

Pallbearers were Jeff Duncan, Rocky Duncan, Jimmy Cockrell, Gary Brazell, Malcom Brazell and Michael Higgins.

Richey was a native of Wallace Ridge and was a retired farmer-cattleman and carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Ewin[g] Richey of Pineville; three daughters, Mrs. George D. [sic George C.] Duncan of Pineville, Mrs. John Higgins of Midland, Texas and Mrs. F. D. Brazil [sic S. D. Brazell] of Pineville; three brothers, H. S. Richey of Shreveport, Monroe Richey of Denver, Colo., and Jessie Richey of Epps; three sisters, Mrs. J. V. Brown of Olla, Mrs. Mary McCaskill of Denver, Mrs. Beatrice Guice of Minden; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
