Milo Edward Ryan
Milo Edward Ryan, 72, of Jena, died at 10:46 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in Rapides
Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was a retired chemist and a veteran of the United States Navy having served during
the Korean Conflict.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 9, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home of Jena with Rev. Lloyd Trisler officiating. Interment followed in the Jena
Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Ryan of Jena; one daughter, Patricia Gibson of Rockville
Centre, N.Y.; one son, William E. Ryan II of Georgetown; five sisters, Lorraine Parker,
Vonda Ford and Violet Gerbish, all of Jonesville, Nellie Linder of Monroe and Helen
Jones of Kilgore, Tx.; six brothers, William J. Ryan and Leo Ryan, both of Jonesville,
Jim Ed Ryan and Roger Ryan, both of Kilgore, Tx., Henry Rolen of Winnsboro and Douglas
Rolen of Gilbert.
Pallbearers were Chad Ryan, Chris Ryan, Jessie Ford, James Campbell, Harris Gibson,
and Jeffery Ryan. Larry Ryan served as an honorary pallbearer.
