GREENVILLE -- Milton David Jarnagin, 85, a retired carpenter, died of heart failure Monday at Delta Regional Medical Center.

Services are 10 a.m. Thurday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn Memorial. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.

Mr. Jarnagin was a Stamps, Ark. native and a member of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. He moved to Chatham at an early age where he attended school. He retired as a carpenter and construction worker in 1972. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include: wife, Flossie; daughters, Ann Thaggard of Wayside, Alice Davis of Hollandale and Betty Dobbs of Newport News, Va.; brother, Virgil Jarnagin of Greenville; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
