Mrs. A.L. (Minnie) Morris, 85, of Mendenhall died Monday, Sept. 3 at Mendenhall Nursing Home.
The Simpson County native was a member of Calvery Baptist Church in Jackson, a member of the Woodman Circle and a member of the Homebound Sunday School Class.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Mendenhall Colonial Chapel with Dr. W.D. Wilkinson, Rev. Charles Wesley, and Rev. Vance Dyess officiating. Colonial Chapel of Mendenhall was in charge of arrangements, and burial was at Gum Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. T.W. Walker, Braxton, five nieces; Mrs. Hoyt Freeman, Jackson, Mrs. Frank Smith, Georgetown, Mrs. Bill Barnett, Pearl, Mrs. Tom Thornton, Brandon, Mrs. Charles Reynolds, Vernon, Fla., and a host of friends.
