Mrs. Minnie Hood

PEARL -- Mrs. Minnie Hood, 59, died Tuesday at Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield. Services are 2 p.m. today at Baldwin-Enochs Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Mrs. Hood, a lifelong resident of Rankin County, attended Eastside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Hood; daughters, Mrs. Ann Ivy of Natchez and Mrs. Mary Nell Cook of Baton Rouge, La.; sons, John Brooks of Brookhaven and George Brooks of Bossier City, La.; mother, Mrs. Irene Garrett of Jackson; sisters, Mrs. Gloria Mace of Texas, Mrs. Robbie Barrett of Jackson and Mrs. Edna Carrol of Pearl; brothers, Andrew Garrett of Texas and E.H. Keller of Brandon; and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
