Mrs. Minnie Phillips

Mrs. Minnie H. Phillips, 82, died at 5:25 p.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Stanly, 511 Meyer.

A native of Louisiana, daughter of the late Henry and Mary McGentry [sic McGinty] Huthnance, she was a member of the Baptist Church.

Her body will lie in state from 1 until 9 p.m. Friday at McCabe-Carruth Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Baptist Church near Montgomery, La., where Mrs. Phillips resided before coming to Victoria six years ago.

Surviving, besides Mrs. Stanly, are four sons, Maurice of Louisiana, Walter I. of Houston, Thomas A. of Mexia and Wade W. Phillips of Beaumont; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
